"Nellie died last night."
That's the phone call I received from my friend Tuesday morning. Nellie was our nanny for 3 years and we think of her as a part of our family. For the past year and a half she has been struggling with kidney cancer. Last fall she decided not to continue any treatments. She moved into a hospice care center two weeks ago. Here's a link to a montage we made for her son, Boris.

Be careful and make sure you have a tissue or something nearby because the montage is extremely sad whether you knew Nellie or not.
I'm so sorry. That's so sad. That was a really nice montage you put together. What a nice way to remember her.

That was beautiful. It definitely made me cry. What a great part of your family she was. She even took care of your extended family (us) with a smile and a lot of hard work. We'll never forget coming home and having all clean clothes with the jeans ironed and Nellie standing at the ironing board ironing the boys' t-sirts. She was amazing and I'm glad she's out of pain.
