Comings and goings

We arrived in Russia on August 31, 2002
a rag-tag, exhausted group.
An 8-almost-9-year-old.
A 4 1/2 year old.
An 11 month old.
Two excited, but a bit apprehensive
parents.

Nate, now 12, was the first to leave,
headed to Utah to stay with
cousins and grandparents,
on June 18th, 2010.

Reyna, now 16, left next,
on June 20, 2010
confident
excited,
and off to an adventure
in Korea.
Traveling without parents,
or adults,
or supervision.

The rest of us--
Jeff and Josie,
Sage, now almost 9 and
Jake, 3 1/2--
finished
the sorting, the throwing out,
the packing.

On June 22, 2010,
we moved from
Moscow and our home
for the past 8 years.

It was sad and exciting.

We're older and wiser (we hope)
but still feel the same
excitement
and
apprehension
about moving to our new place.

Как мы любим Россию!

What a wonderful adventure you've had over the past 8 years, especially for the kids to see so many different places and people. No doubt Russia will miss you all. I wish you the very best in your move to your new home..and am curious as to where that is! Good luck!!
